why are camera owners different to other consumers

The problem with cameras....

I see the camera problem as being caused by the camera makers.

They insist on putting the brand name in bold letters in a prominent position on the front of the cameras, so typically the brand name acts like a branding on the forehead of the user.

Photo geeks enhance that with the "please steal me" boldly brand labelled wide neck straps, silly them.

Just get rid of that advertising crap with some black (or appropriate colour) electricians tape (and use anonymous neck straps) and you find that no-one peers at you any more to try and seek what brand you are. That leaves you in peace to take more photos.

See, I can fix every problem in the world and you don't even need to ask.
