Phoenix Auto Show 2012
Went to the Phoenix auto show on Thanksgiving morning. Moderate crowds, displays were mostly by local dealers, rather than manufacturers. Fun time with family, including a couple of granddaughters. Shot with venerable D300 and 17-55mm 2.8. (I think this lens is sometimes underrated.) Mostly shot at ISO 1600, which for me, is pushing the D300. Comments welcome.
My take? Ford seems to have more new models and styles than GM. Ford and Dodge are king of the trucks. Nissan was weak. Chrysler Corp. is pushing the market, and hanging in there. The exotic imports were on display, but limited. Kia/Hyndai is taking some market share from Toyota and Honda, both of which are moving very slowly.
Oh yes, a yellow Corvette!
Love those Hemis!
Nice detail of a famous brand. You can see the metal flake in the paint.
The business end.
Look what this Mustang 289 body was transformed into!
I would call this color, "gangrene." Jeep had one of the better displays.
People lined up for the Jeep demo ride, like a carnival.
Oh yes, imported from Detroit.
