Chinese Langtern Festival (9 img)

The Chinese Lantern Festival is a popular Dallas attraction. It takes over 3 months to hand make all the exhibits, formed from steel wire and colored fabric. It is a spectacular sight, and for me it was another opportunity to play with my 12-35mm lens.

The faster speed (compared to my 14-140 or 14-45) gave much more room to play with settings, and keep the ISO down. The samples below also show the really sharp images this lens takes. It is now one of my favorite lenses. I'm hoping for even better results when the GH3 gets here...

All taken RAW and little or no PP, just scaled down and exported in Capture One to JPEG.

Hope you like them....

Just to set the location....
