Why didn't they approach any Sony Alpha users and tell them what they told the Canon/Nikon DSLR user?

That would be stupid from a marketing point of view. Regardless, much of what they said is true. I firmly believe that most people who buy DSLR's never learn how to use them properly. Whether they need a NEX instead is open to question but this is advertising, not an educational video. Most of those people would probably be better off with an RX100 than a NEX.

I agree that many would be better off with with a camera like the RX100, or a pro-sumer camera that has a zoom lens.

Look at how many beginner users come on this forum, who just bought an A77 or A99, and have very little idea of how to take a good picture, or understand the time-proven theory behind a good picture. If they couldn't take a good picture with a P&S, what makes them think they can with a top-of-the-line camera?

However, Sony could have made it's point in a way not to insult people, especially Sony A-mount users. Does Sony think that their A-mount users don't have the same problem of using the wrong camera type, as Canon or Nikon users?
