Agree... it seems that many folks are looking for a general setting they can set and forget, but they need to remember, that the D600 (or other DSLR's) is not point and shoots. The scenes will change and each may require a change in settings that are optimal for the given scene.

I do however find, that I mostly use the Auto-Focus delay turned off. In addition, I have come to love the high ISO capabilities in order to ensure a sufficiently fast shutter speed. That is where I find most of my issues, as it can be difficult to assess in focus shots when they are blurred. Best is to just become proficient in using the various menu settings.
