Re: Considering a TS lens - TILT Tables

Thanks Mike for the reply. I followed the link. I'm a little concerned that the calcs don't appear to take into account the angle of the sensor plane with respect to the subject plane. I decided to take the plunge on a TS-E 24. After I receive it, I'll check those tables vs. my calc.

The physics of lenses are so complex I'm not sure where I'm going with this calculator. The tilt mechanism's of large format lenses are much more predictable because they can be based on "simple" lenses. Calculating convergence of planes on a complex lens makes the 35 mm model quite complex.

I had an offer from one person with a 17mm and 90mm to run a couple of tests using my calc.

Anyway, I'll let you know if my calc pans out with more precise calcs of angles.
