Oly AF is slower and tracking is poor. Honestly unless you have size limitation for the camera, I would buy the D7000. It is a better camera by a good margine if you look at things in detail.

You are right for the red fabric, it's strange, because for the rest the D7000 is not better.

As for the AF, from what I read, tracking is not as good with the E-M5, but S-AF and C-AF are OK (as long as m4/3 lenses are used).
