I'm considering the recommended Panasonic DMW-LPLA37 since it is likely tested by Panasonic not to vignette on the LX7, as well as not bind. The Panasonic web site has it for $63 USD and claims to ship in 1 to 3 days. The product number implies this is a linear polarizer, but that's neither a problem nor an issue with compact and mirrorless cameras.

The LDLA37 doesn't bind at all and rotates very smoothly. Also the documentation that comes with the filter specifically says that it's a "circular polarizing" filter.

Here's a link to the insert that comes in the package.

I hope this helps.

Thanks, Joe,

You and another kind member of this forum have confirmed that the Lumix DMW-LPLA37 polarizer indeed works well, as it should(!). I plan to order it in the next day or so.

I'm currently using a B+W 37mm MRC UV filter to protect the LX7 lens. Despite not being slim line, it does not vignette, so I think I'll pass on the Lumix protective filter.
