I, too, have both cameras. I traded in my Nikon D7000 for the OM-D in order to have a lighter, more portable travel alternative. As a direct replacement to the D7000, it has performed wonderfully well and the range of lenses available is superb. It won't, however, replace the D800. For low light high ISO performance, image detail, DR and the ability to crop extensively whilst retaining resolution, the D800 comes into its own.

I won't be replacing either of these cameras anytime soon.
