Just curious... what were you missing in the K-r?

I recently made the same upgrade, and here's what you get:

1. Better viewfinder with 100% coverage

2. Much better AF, especially in low light

3. Better sensor (although the K-r is no slouch!)

4. Weather sealing

Also dual wheels, more buttons and TAv mode.

True... the K-r doesn't have all those things, but not having had them I didn't know I was missing them and to be honest, the K-r is still more capable as a camera than I am as a photographer.

Yes indeed, the K-r is a very capable camera; I was just answering someone's question. I bet that most camera owners are less capable than their gear.

Yep... understood. I think we're looking at it from slightly different perspectives... me from the point of what the K-30 has in addition to the K-r and you perhaps, what the K-r lacks in comparison to the K-30...
