You should buy a kit such as the Lee starter kit. They are much more useful if you can slide them up and down; the horizon is rarely best in the middle of the image. Lee have a starter kit that comprises of 1, 2 and 3 stop filters that can be used in tandem. I also find the Grads are big enough for use as regular ND's.
