The long way back, on the northern Yellowhead Highway route exposed Gina to some interesting new smells, including some that made her stay very close to us and the cabins we rented.

Gina acted almost as if she could read the signs.

Here she is on the windowsill of a Jasper, Alberta coffeehouse.

The place did seem to understand dog-logic!

Gina made many friends on her long trip, and was becoming a really seasoned, relaxed traveller who would calmly relax and take a nap in a cabin or room while we had dinner by the time we got back.
