Why not a Canon 15-85? very versatile range, great IQ, fast focus, excellent build.

I have the 18-135 which has the same aperture rsting at f/3.5-5.6. I'm looking something to use indoors with low light like during holidays or just around town. The 18-135 is a great vacation lens but not good enough for me in low light situations. I'm lookingot something at least 2.8 throughout.

Aah! Ignore my previous post re the 15-85. I'm moving into prime lens territory for low light/small DOF photography. An f2.8 zoom can't compete with the 50mm f1.4 that you say you're getting. I have the 50mm f1.8, and I've just gotten the Samyang 85mm f1.4 for portraits. Awesome bokeh! I'll probably be getting a 35mm or 24mm f1.4 soon as well.
