Which pictures are better?

This does not have to mean that the Nex 6 compresses its JPGs more. Instead, the pictures of the Nex 5 may be noisier due to the older sensor and noise = false detail ,making it harder to minimize the file size.

If you sharpen your picture and save it again, file size usually increases without any extra details in the picture. You just amplify the already present noise.

It is always laudable when people want to share their insights with others in this community. And I really don't want to sound obnoxious, but maybe it would be good to spend some more time on basics before posting such "comparisons" and conclusions
