Nope. That's not what an intervalometer does. The "Motion Snapshot" sort-of works that way, but that's probably not what you want. You'll need to put them together in post. It's easy enough.
In Mac land, you just ingest the files in iPhoto as their own event, then open a new project in iMovie. Pull the images into the iMovie project and set their duration to :04. Here's a link that describes the process: http://www.icreatemagazine.com/tips/tutorial-use-time-lapse-techniques-in-imovie/
There are a couple of things they don't mention, like you have to enable all the advanced options in iMovie.
If you're in PC land, I'm sure the software works pretty much the same way. (Adobe Premiere does.)
