Now I see why the Minolta 80-200 APO f2.8 is so well liked!
Its a great lens, I own one... the only problem I find with this lens is that it is very noisy, Mechanical AF ( screw drive )... It also clunks when it focus locks.. if it is tracking a moving object it clunks constantly... its not very good for an indoor even where other people have their own family members in the event, like a recital, or a school play... the noise from this lens has drawn many an evil eye my way when shooting with this lens. But other than that, Its a great lens. Its why I went to SSM for these type of shoots. I remember when I bought my 70-200 2.8 G SSM , I though it was broken because I could not feel it or hear it AF or focus lock, and it was so fast, the second my eye hit the VF it was locked.
