Why do unions believe there's always money for their workers?

Why does Hostess management pay themselves millions of dollars for running their business into the ground?

Why does management think that driving pay so low that their workers will get Food Stamps is a good idea?

Who's right? Who's wrong? Doesn't really make much difference. The simple fact is that all these union workers will be unemployed.

This company was doomed no matter what the workers did or didn't do. An incompetent management, that declared bankruptcy and whose workers took a 33 percent cut in their benefits.

So now they were asked to bail this company out AGAIN, while management tripled their compensation.

Sounds like they're getting more than they bargained for. I'm sure that once they're on the street the union will take care of them.

You hear them complaining? Surely Fox has managed to find at least one disgruntled worker?

At what point would a protest be correct? When wages hit minimum? Below minimum? Or just take whatever sh!t they hand you with a smile, while you have a family to feed and bills to pay, and what they pay no longer covers that?

In fact, this company, rigid and stupid in the face of market changes, tripled the pay of it top managament. In fact this company was going down the tubes, and this suddden reaction on their part is just an excuse to absolve themselves from the blame.

My parents taught us to never quit a job until you had another.

Might have been smarter to agree with the company, keep an income, and look for another job.

Unemployment isn't good for anyone but it's especially hard for someone with a family to support.

By the way, Dallas TV stations have interviewed many of the hourly wage employees. They're all upset with the union and are scared to death about loosing their jobs.
