one lense for everything?

Just bought a Sony 18-135 about two hours ago.

I have some primes, a Sigma 18-50, but lacked anything for longer reach after I sold my Sony 18-250 (which is lousy for video - I have an SLT). For really long reach I have m4/3 cameras and lenses that do well at 600mm, so the 135 is enough for my Sony. It's medium weight (sold a 16-50 due to its weight and the fact that it wasn't worth $500 more than my Sigma), almost silent for video, and, judging from the reviews, pretty good IQ for the price ($300, new, unbundled from a kit). Luckily, it took a filter that I already had sitting around unused.
