Even if weight isn't an issue, $100 isn't realistic for a tripod. And if you want lightweight, even less so. What you could get, with a bit of money to spare, and also be able to carry everywhere, is a Gorilla Pod—one of the heavier duty ones, like the SLR Zoom. Will this work all the time as a substitute tripod? No. But it can be wrapped around posts, etc. and provide a reasonably steady support.

Beyond that, save up some. Expect to pay around $300 (new) as a starting point for a dependable smaller tripod. Look at it as a long term investment. Long after you've sold the X-E1 you'll still have the tripod to use.
