2012 Mac mini Fusion Drive or SSD

I'd probably go with the fusion drive. An SSD won't be enough space on it's own and the FD will make a traditional hard disk much faster. Now with any new technology there is a risk of it failing. But even a traditional hard disk or a regular SSD can fail. You need to have a separate back-up of your important files anyway (and I even recommend a 2nd back up that is off site incase your house/studio has a fire or gets robbed). These will cover you incase there is a problem down the road with the FD.
