I was going to say the same thing, although I do take handheld shots with the DP-1M that turn out fairly sharp.

Another trick that people have used in the past is turning on multi-shot and holding it down - that eliminates the shake from the button press and the 2nd/3rd shots may be sharper.  You do of course use more space that way though.
