Re: Olympus OM-D E-M5 or Fujifilm X-E1?

Personally I love the look of the Fuji - it looks great, and if it handles anything like the earlier fixed lens version then it should be great. The downside is that as a very new system it is still very limited in the options available, so few lenses, few accessories and really little experience with it in the wild. If what is available works for you, great, otherwise you will be finding yourself limited for a good while yet.

The OM-D on the other hand comes as one of the flagships of what is the longest running and most comprehensive of the mirrorless systems - so you have years worth of development and output from two companies all building together into the current range - so while you also have a good selection of prime lenses available, you also have fast zooms, ultra wide and telephoto lenses, macro and via adapters a huge range of manual control legacy lenses. As a more developed system it is also fair to say that there will also be successors to the OM-D down the line too, so the lens selection and accessories you build up with this camera will transfer across to a new model. As a new system the future of the Fuji isn't quite as reliable and is very dependant on how well it sells and what effort Fuji put behind supporting it.
