I just picked up a Nikon 100mm 2.8 and I love it. The overall lens and adapter is the same size as the kit lens and weighs about the same. I thought hard about whether to get an 85 or 100 for portraits and chose the 100 in the end. I find it gives me a little more distance than my sel 50 when shooting people who aren't as close as family to get up close and personal.

I've turned into a lens hoarder. I now regularly use a 50/1.4, 105/2.8, and 135/2.8 for portraits, with an 85/1.8 on the way. All are great, all give different feel and are better in different situations.  Given the way I shoot, I think the 85 will see the most time out of the bag going forward, but they all work great.

If you take a great photograph, I really don't care whether it came from a Leica or smartphone. Just share it.
