starter lens for nikon d7000

I have to disagree on this one

16-85 and 35 1.8 is night and day. Although more "flexible", the 16-85 is a slow lens, practically unusable indoors. We are talking about 2.5 stops difference here, not to mention depth of field.

Sorry guys, but that is the worst advice I heard in a long time.

35mm 1.8 is indeed a very wise option for a DX shooter.
