But if these are addressed in the 6DII, I'll be surely interested.
The thing is, the 6DII is way out in the future, so it's hardly worth talking about it.

Agreed, but I am pretty sure I will not be getting a 6d with these specs unless the reviews are surprisingly good. It's fine as a starter FF body, but IMOHO it is not competitive with the D600 on a value basis for new users and I am hoping that will force Canon's hand to be more competitive on specs & pricing sooner rather than later.
