Assuming you meant a 200mm f2.8. A 200mm f5.6 with a 2x TC would be a 400mm f11 lens since you'd lose two stops of light. You'd want to be sure and buy what would have been one of the better (brand name, like Canon or Nikon) TC's available at the time. Most any older third-party converter was, less than good, being nice about it..
