I was quite happy using a (Nikon) D300; I didn't feel the body was too heavy or too big but when you add on a kit that includes a 14-24, 24-70 and 70-200 (all 2.8), you are talking a substantial weight. Adding a support system and a bag to carry it all and you're in the 30lbs + range.

Been there, done that - never again!

Don't forget the backup camera body.  It all adds up quickly.  Makes the mft stuff even better when you look at all the gear.
