I don't think it will become a classic like a Hasselblad or Leica, because it doesn't cost $10-$20,000.

I know one thing for certain though I had been waiting for the NEX-7 for 12-15 years from when I bought my first digital camera.

1. Finally a camera with an EVF that I can actually use.

2. Finally DSLR quality photos without a sore shoulder/back, or excess weight.

3. Finally access to any manufacturers lens collection.

4. Lastly the ability to use the camera the way I want to shoot not the way the camera forces me to shoot. The ability to set up the camera for my own personal shooting style.

5. Lastly some abilities mostly overlooked are the ability of Twilight, AMB (Anti motion Blur) modes for low light shooting, simply stunning in it's ease of operation and the Panorama mode.

6. For me the NEX-7 is already a classic.

I won't be upgrading any time soon.

I don't want to know how many Leicas and Leitz lenses end up in safes in their oh so beautiful boxes without ever being used for what they've been built for in the first place, but then 'chacun à son goût'

Enjoy your N7, shot by shot !
