Side-by-side the 45mm is actually much smaller

Just for reference the 45mm is smaller than the new plastic kit lens; not obvious from this shot.

The jury is out on the 40-150mm image quality-wise, I need to do some tests. While I know it gets the price down, which is good for M43 uptake, I'm not sure it's what I want. I like good build quality.

That said, I don't want to pay a mint and after first use the 40-150mm Oly is well behind the 45-200mm Panny for build but it is quite compact and very light. Shorter and without OIS too of course.

Have you contemplated the PZ 45-175? Small, light, pretty sharp ... great for video if you care. OIS.

I'd be interested in opinions from the M43 crowd...
