wide angle zoom
Pick up a good condition used one from ebay. Sharper and less distortion than the 16-35. Also f2.8 is much more useful than VR imo, though that will depend on what sort of work you do.
14-24 too expensive, too large, too heavy, and not very flexible. 14mm is extremely wide and it's hard to actually compose an interesting shot at 14mm. 24mm is still very wide, and not "normal" enough. This is a specialist lens, not suited to everyday shooting imo.
17-35 is the best all-rounder until Nikon release a proper stabilised 16-35/2.8 with VR.
