That might be the issue others are having with chipped adapters.  I added a dandelion focus confirm chip to my Samyang 14mm (no adapter), and it works just fine.  However in the instructions it says you may need to drill a hole and insert a wire at a certain point to enable a switch.  Thankfully my lens already had that.
