It was a moving ceremony in our church this am --- Sydenham Street United in Kingston, Ontario. --- Not only were the names of those from our congregation who perished read out, this year someone had found thir photos (most of them) and where they had died and projected the images for all to see. Wonderful shots of many of the memorial graveyards in Europe. As well, the bulletin describing the service featured a Christmas menu form 1917 in the trenches which had been kept all these years. Lest we forget.

That sure must have been a tear jerker but such a great memorial.

Brings back memories as my outfit landed in Italy on Christmas Eve and we never got a Christmas dinner.  I did my basic training in Kingston.

Thanks so much for this reply.
