I'm a Canon shooter. I'm planning a Safari for next Summer (I know, I know... but I like dreaming...).

I have a canon 5d. I thought I was going to need a 24-105 for my 5d + I wanted to buy a 100-400 and a 60d (or similar).

Now: what would I be missing if, instead of the APS-C camera to complement my 5d, I buy a MFT + 100-300?

I don't have any safari experience, nor I have MTF experience.

I guess the biggest problem would be noise? Or autofocus? Sorry, I know almost nothing of MFT...

Thom Hogan (who I believe does shoot safaris) had an article that touches on safaris lens choice including MFT recently on this page.

It's about a third of the way down or just search ctrl-f (win) or cmd-f (mac) for "africa".

It's not going to give you an answer but it is more data to consider.
