Re: With a 60d, what are the two preferred lenses for wedding photography?

I've shot a couple of weddings for family - the most recent last year, which had a morning wedding, with drinks and snack outside, and then an evening reception inside a big hall. I had the a 580Ex flash with bracket and flash modifiers and cable attached to my 7D, which held the 17-55 lens. I used the flash when needed, but mostly tried to shoot available light. I had a 40D as my second body, with the 70-200 attached, just used with available light. This is essential, as you don't want to miss a shot when changing lenses.

In addition to the above, I had a tripod and remote release for some formal shots, and a 10-22 for wide group shots. As a backup, just in case of lens failure, I had a 50mm f1.8 and an 85mm f1.8, and my 420Ex in case the flash failed!

In the break between the post-wedding reception and the evening reception I uploaded my photos to my Android table, which allowed me to do a quick review to make sure all my gear was OK and get a backup copy of the images on microSD cards.

You can shoot a wedding with one body and a couple of primes, and some do. But you'll get more variety of shots and more security in case of gear failure, if you have a lot of equipment.
