Maybe a bit of an exaggeration there?

*Nothing* is intuitive? Oh come on now! I don't think either necessarily has an intuition advantage over the other for most things.  But to claim nothing is intuitive is a bit over the top IMO.

2) Crashes, freezes and 'odd' undefined occurrences DO happen at about the same rate as with Windows.

I think this is a fair statement. Since Win7, Windows stability is a non-issue although it does need fairly frequent (2 times per week) reboots to clear some issues like memory leaks or the notorious file-sharing problems.

I'll say one thing for Win7--the file system is slow, but at least it maintains its integrity pretty well. Gone are the days of having to repair bad blocks. Unfortunately, this issue still occurs on the Mac file system. I wonder if this could be your problem on your Mac.
