General settings for overcast days??
Just one tip if you haven't already, is try setting the White Balance to Cloudy. I shoot a lot with a cloudy setting as it creates a warmer light in the exposure. It's not to everybody's taste but I like it and it may help to reduce the "haze" that you say you are experiencing.
