Hi Russel, not sure what happened there, but I think the DOF for the olympus should be 0.29m, which is twice what you get with the K-30, 560 @ f/5.6.

Too many cuts and pastes between tabs in a browser. So 11 inches of DOF versus versus 5.5 inches at about 50 feet for 1/7 the price of the DA 560mm, assuming Pentax would sell the 4/3 sensor equipped K-5 at US $1000.

As I've indicated in my post above, the major problem of 4/3 is really available lens selection for someone seeking a fast high quality longish lens...

My post was about a 4/3 sensor in a K-5 body, where Pentax has a 200mm f2.8 and a 300mm f4 already. Olympus had a 90-250mm f/2.8 for 4/3, 180-500mm eq., but at $6000 I don't think there were many takers. At least not enough to keep the system going. Probably the same with the 560mm, but offer a US $1000 way to turn the DA * 200mm f2.8 and DA * 300mm f4 into 400mm and 600mm eq., and I think you'll have a lot of takers.

Thank you
Russell
