Veterans day in a small town
The girl's lacrosse team started selling flags with a soldiers name on it to raise money for uniforms a few years ago. This little village sits on one of the purest lakes in North America. It is a glacial cut lake that is 17 miles long and a mile wide at its widest point. Hundreds of flags flutter in the light breeze at twilight and I always stop with my Leica to try and capture the essence of all the red, white, and blue.
This was taken with a 19mm Elmarit R , version 1, mounted on my trusty R8 I just got back from the Solms repair center.
