Re: D600 - my oil thoughts based on D7000 experience

My thoughts on the issue:

If you are primarily a landscape / macro shooter who shoots primarily at small f-stops, I'd wait a little while and hope the dust/oil issue settles a little more.   It can be very frustrating to have a spotty sensor 10 shots after cleaning the sensor shooting small f-stops.

I don't have a D600, but I have a D7000 that had an oil issue. I also have a D300 and a D80 and had never seen anything like it before, so it can be a big deal when your sensor has 30 spots on it 10 shots after you cleaned it. As I usually shoot larger f-stops, it was no big deal for me to clean the sensor before going landscape shooting and then shoot in quiet mode, which threw significantly less oil. About 6 months later, my D7000 was not throwing oil any more and now I just do normal cleaning and checking procedures like I did with my D300 and D80 before.
