What lens should I use?
I have a cannon 60 D I am trying to find a lense for my camera that is good but inexpensive. problem is I am in a remote town in Alaska and cant just go purchase one everything has to be ordered on line Amazon has a great selection but what do I choose??. this lense will mainly be used to take photos of the Northern lights. As I am new to photography I am at a loss at to what I need each site I look at says different things soany help from people here would be great!!
You might want to look at 'Aurora' under Open Talk thread....and perhaps that will have some answers for you. Also, Samyang 14/2.8 lens appears to be relatively inexpensive. I looked on Amazon and on B&H. Most lenses don't perform superbly at their widest opening, so be prepared to close the lens some...to get better IQ.
Wish I was at Chena Springs doing some time lapse :>). Good luck.
