I do understand your point, a week is not a long time to evaluate and compare two fairly complex cameras. However there are a couple of things which ultimately make the decision for me, namely the portability and cost of getting the EM5 underwater. It was a done deal as long as the images produced were acceptable compared to my D7000 and they are. In the near future my wife and I are looking to relocate to a remote part of Malaysia where most of my photography will become sea and jungle based, the weight of the EM5 will be a great help.

As with all such decisions it's down to the users requirements, I am not capable of using either camera to its full capacity and therefore in theory either would do the job, however the EM5 suits my needs better (as do its lightweight lenses). Choose the tool that most suits your needs.
