The 45-150mm finally became generally available this week and I ordered it to fill the gap between 14-42 and 100-300

Thanks for that.

I already have the mZuiko 40-150 and it is so lightweight the size difference doesn't come into it. I love the look of the 45-150 and somehow wished I needed one. When does it get bundled into new twin-lens kits?

I think Panasonic is already shipping kits containing it and a 14-42.  I've seen them advertised, anyway - I presume they're offical Panasonic kits, but I haven't checked that.

Any reason you skipped the 45-175?

A few reasons, yes.  I didn't need power zoom (for what little video I do, I actually prefer manually zooming), the 45-175 was significantly more expensive (though that seems to be changing), and the double-image issue of the 45-175 with some camera/shutter speed combinations.

If budget wasn't an issue, I think the ideal zoom kit would be the 12-35, 35-100, and 100-300, plus the 7-14 if you wanted superwide to add to the mix.  I personally can't see myself buying the 12-35 or 35-100; they're just too expensive.
