Tamron 180 macro
There were a lot of bugs! Not quite sure why this was but there seemed to be a population explosion just for the day. I needed to stake the flowers due to a breeze and the long, narrow structure of the plants. It was worth it as it made me think more about the image that I wanted to achieve rather than going 'pot luck' at everything that moved.
I'd guess that the min focusing distance for this lens would be approx 20 cm from the front of the lens. I wasn't trying to get as close as possible with these though, more trying to frame an image. I spent a lot of time earlier in the year trying to get as close as possible to things and go as 'macro' as possible but in this case preferred to hang back a little.
The lens works great as a general purpose lens, nice and sharp.
