This would be a good option if you need to upgrade to full frame (also no price yet that I'm aware of...surely more than $450). For crop, the Sigma 30 1.4 is ideal and gives you a normal view with no buyers remorse for something better.

I agree that the 35mm equivalent is even better, but the only real option there is the 24 1.4L which is overpriced for use on crop (though i do it anyway). I've used the Sigma 30 and own the 50 1.4, and both are well built and great optically. AF Is the risk with Sigma, but you can always return for another copy if yours doesn't behave.
