D800 - Any happy users out there? Locked

Thank you all for the feedback and for sharing your experiences.

Very good points were brought up, and it's kind of reinforcing my inclination to just go for the D800 Specially that I mainly shoot nature, landscapes, and night photography (and occasionally travel and street photography). I also like to have the flexibility of cropping in pp, and i usually print large sizes.

Anyway, someone posted that the D800 is on a "NEED" basis - Sorry but I don't agree with that opinion. Some of us work hard so we could afford things that we like to have not necessarily need (do we need iPhones, fast cars, expensive cameras, high quality audio, huge TVs, etc...???? NO but we still buy them). Nothing wrong with freedom of choice.

Mark, thanks for the links... those are beautiful cars! I remember visiting La Habana few years ago it was stunning, like going back in time and visiting an era gone by
