Lightroom 4: fixing skies

How do you usually fix skies?

I use the the graduated filter if the horizon line is clear, otherwise the brush if there are objects in fron of the sky.

Then what I do is decrease exposure (usually half a stop to bring out color or more if sky is blown out) and....lower Temp to -100 or so and increase Saturation a bit (say +20). I did not find any evidence on the web of people fixing skies with Temp, while I found several articles on fixing skies using Color (and picking blue). What do you usually do?
