I think the issue is to do with whether Nikon really wants to maximise the potential of the N1 system and whether this would detract from it s DSLR sales.  Having followed this forum for a while without posting, I've been impressed with the quality of many of the images posted - yes there are better sensors around but it's already close to m4/3rds in quality, which would do for me and many others.

The system has the potential to deliver what m4/3rd promised for wildlife/sports shooters like me i.e. light, fast telephoto lenses with focussing speed to match.  I'll buy into the system as soon as (if) they deliver on this and I'm sure many others would too.
