This may be asked before, and I am new here, but having a LX3 as my only camera at this time I am pondering other cameras and money is a factor. The lenses for MFT cams throws me off to tell the truth. Is the RX100 truly as amazing as many say? The questions about corner softness make me ask this. Any help will be appreciated.

There is no Olympus 75mm f/1.8 for the RX-100... my point is, for $650, the RX100 is a camera for people who either:

(a) already have an interchangeable lens camera

(b) do not want an interchangeable lens camera (won't fit in pocket etc.)

I own an OM-D E-M5 with many primes and adapters to manual lenses etc. I still might want to get an RX100 for a compact camera because the E-M5 is not very pocketable.

But I would not give up my Four Thirds gear due to the fact that it rules. The 75mm f/1.8, 45mm f/1.8, 25mm f/1.4, and 17mm f/0.95 are all full-frame relative to the 4/3" format and they all rock.
