Lens 'busted', need help to fix?
I found this on the web, the guy is a genius. Remove the rubber ring that surrounds the zoom rotator, remove the now visable screw, set the lens to 70mm and slip the two plastic rings towards the front element. Easy peasy, found the loose screw, tightened as instructed and fiddled with the alignment until it all went together again. Before I fixed it into position I used a pec pad and eclipse cleaner and with my finger cleaned the two inner elements that had a bit of dust and muck showing. The lens is operating like new, many thanks to Irvin and his easy to follow instructions. I wonder how many paper weights are sitting and waiting for this simple fix.
