Software instead of tilt-shift lens?

About 5 years ago I tested a software that made it quite simple to straighten out photos that showed some distortion (buildings or even doors and windows). I used the Photoshop tool, but this was quite simple. You draw a couple vertical or horizontal lines and the picture straightened out quite well. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Any simple suggestions? What do you use?
